Vignesh Shivan

Vignesh Shivan is an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter, lyricist, and producer who works primarily in the Tamil film industry. Born in Chennai on September 18, 1985, he began his career with the film Poda Podi (2012) and gained widespread recognition with Naanum Rowdy Dhaan (2015). He is known for directing commercially successful films such as Thaana Serndha Kootam and Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal*. In addition to directing, he has penned lyrics for numerous popular Tamil songs and is the co-founder of a production company named Rowdy Pictures. On the personal front, he is married to actress Nayanthara, and they have twin sons.
